Glam Ryder Cup Wags pose for Team Europe Gala Dinner, as they get ready to cheer on their golf partners at Whistling Straits

TEAM EUROPE'S top golfers and their partners attended Wednesday's Gala Dinner at The American Club, Wisconsin.

Before Friday's opening matches at The 43rd Ryder Cup, Captain Padraig Harrington was joined in the presence of his players and their Wags.

Six English players make up Team Europe: Lee Westwood (Ian Poulter), Tyrrell Hatton (Tyrrell Hatton), Matt Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood and Tyrrell Hatton (Paul Casey).

The Europeans lost in 2016 on their last trip to America, but they won the trophy back in France two years later.

Only three times have Team USA won the Ryder Cup in the ten previous competitions. All of their wins came on American soil.

Team Europe will put on a show in Whistling Straits as part of the delayed biennial event, which was postponed a year because of the coronavirus crises.

After being granted special permission to follow them inside the ropes, their four American partners will cheer them on.

Skipper Harrington declared that he would take Thomas Bjorn's advice and get a TATTOO if Team Europe wins the Ruder Cup.

He stated that he was happy that they only ask for this, but that he would have given up much more. Yes, I will get a tattoo.

"If my team wins a week, I'll get a tattoo to commemorate the occasion."

"They only asked me so much because I would have given even more. It's very comforting.

"I believe it's an unwritten principle, so it has been brought up in conversation. Perhaps they didn't want to ask. Perhaps they were satisfied with what I had to offer and felt it was sufficient."

Harrington said: "But absolutely, yeah, that's a given now, in Europe. Captain must get a tattoo.

"And at this point, I don't have any tattoos so it would be an entirely new experience.

"Where is the body?" It's not clear. It all depends on how long it takes.
