BRYSON DECHAMBEAU kept his promise of unleashing his power at Whistling Straits... with a stunning 417-yard drive.
The Ryder Cup buildup saw the muscular-bound American boast about hitting his ball within 120 yards of The Snake, the winding, 603-yard fifth green.
Golf's greatest hitter took so much off the par-5's dog-leg, that he only had 72 yards to the flag.
The 28-year old former US Open champion was able to hit his second shot four feet away from the hole. Wisconsiners could hear the cheers as he put his eagle putt.
It was a gut punch to Europe's Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton and partner Tyrrell Hatton as they faced Scottie Shceffler and DeChambeau in the fourballs.
Rahm had previously teamed up Sergio Garcia with Europe's only point in foursomes. Ian Poulter's terror reign Stateside ended with a 5&3 defeat.
Poulter entered the Ryder Cup having won eight of his previous matches on American soil. This run included the amazing victory that led to the Miracle at Medinah 2012.
Rory McIlory was there with Poulter as his partner, and he managed to conjure five birdies in succession to win victory from the jaws defeat. This led to the most famous fightback in event history.

Another tale of five, but this time Poulter & McIlroy were the ones who suffered as McIlroy and Poulter lost their heads. The rookie pairing of Patrick Cantlay & Xander Schauffele won five of the five holes.
After their first birdie at 10th, Poulter was back in three. McIlroy made a rare error on the next hole.
Schauffele and Cantlay finished the job in style, with four birdies in succession. It was quite a surprise that Steve Stricker, the US captain, decided to not send them back together in the afternoon fourballs.
McIlroy stated that although the start was not great, he didn't think anyone could have beaten Patrick and Xander today. They were great - they made four birdies in succession to win it. Wow!
Poulter said: "It is not pleasant to find yourself five down from five. It was not easy to get back and the match ended in clinical fashion.
