AARON WISE was fortunate to avoid serious injury when he was struck on the HEAD at the PGA Championship by a stray ball.

To ease his pain during the PGA Championship, he used a cold water bottle.
The Aussie's slice hit was down, and caught his fellow golfer right on the nose.
Wise was at the seventh hole and bent down to examine his ball, which had drifted into the rough.
Smith was, however, teeing off on a parallel second.
Wise didn't hear the world No4 repeatedly shouting "fore", but he did hear it.
The ball suddenly ricocheted off his right side, leaving a mark in his white cap.
Wise took some time to recover and walked around the course with a water bottle in his hand and an ice pack on his head.
25-year-old American said, "I was surprised that my ball wasn’t in the fairway, and the next thing, there’s a little bit more ringing in mine head.
"I was on the fairway. However, it only lasted for about 20 seconds and I felt pretty normal afterwards.

"Obviously, adrenaline is a major component of the body after such an event.
"It's just trying to calm down and feel somewhat normal for the last few holes."
Wise, who shot 72 in the second round of the tournament to make it one-over, said he felt fine but a little sore.
Joel Dahmen, his playing partner, described the shock moment in shock as "a glancing punch".
He said, "Thankfully, he is fine. It was heard by all the observers. It was very loud.
"He was certainly shaken when he got into the next shot.
"It was far away and there are so many people. The wind is blowing."
